Cream cheese pound cake is a delightful dessert that combines the richness of cream cheese with the classic appeal of a pound cake.

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and cream cheese together until smooth and creamy. This step ensures a well-incorporated base for the cake.

Creaming Butter

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Dry Ingredients

Pour the batter into the prepared pan(s) and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake for 60-70 minutes for a bundt cake (slightly less for loaf pans), or until a toothpick inserted.

Remove from the oven and let the cake cool in the pan for 15 minutes. Then, invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cooled, slice and serve the cream cheese pound cake on its own or with a dusting of powdered sugar, fresh berries, or a dollop of whipped cream.

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze slices wrapped tightly in plastic wrap for longer storage.
